Here are the answers to the most common questions we receive. We add to this list whenever something new comes up which is likely to be of interest and help to others.
Unfortunately, we are not able to help with enquiries about pens that are not a part of the SimplyPens hand-selected range.
1. What kind of refills do your pens take and do you sell them?
Our pens take standard refills available from good high street stationers, unless otherwise specified. As refills are so easy to obtain, we do not sell them ourselves.
2. Do you offer pen engraving?
We are sorry but we don't offer an engraving service, as in some cases this may invalidate the warranty.
3. What kind of warranty do your pens come with?
Our pens come with a minimum 1 year manufacturer's warranty as standard, and in some cases up to 5 years may be offered by the manufacturer.
4. Do all your pens come in gift boxes?
Yes, we feel presentation or gift boxes are important, and we try to show a picture of the box whenever we can.
5. Do you offer overseas delivery?
At the moment SimplyPens is a UK only retailer, but we hope to offer overseas delivery in the near future.
6. Do you offer pen repairs?
Unfortunately we are not able to offer pen repairs. However, if you have purchased your pen from us, and it falls within its 12 month warranty, please return it for repair or replacement.
7. How are you able to offer free delivery?
We know how the cost of postage and packing can be off-putting for online customers, so we include the cost of delivery in our pen prices so that what you see is what you pay. As an online store, we have made the choice to pass on cost savings to you. You'll find we don't inflate our prices to cover the cost of p&p and arte typically cheaper than other stores. 8. Are your delivery times guaranteed?
We use Royal Mail Signed For (1st or 2nd class) who aim to deliver 1st class packets the next working day and 2nd class packets within 3 working days. However, this service is not guaranteed if there are bottlenecks in the postal system. Parcels are fully trackable and insured, however, so we will always know if and when an item has been received. In the near future we will be introducing a paid special delivery option for customers who want a guaranteed 1-2 day service.
9. Do you charge for delivery?
Orders over £10.00 are free. Otherwise the postage cost is £2.95, regardless of how many items you are purchasing.
